The Bulat Utemuratov Foundation was founded in early 2014. The Foundation&s;s mission is to help Kazakhstan become a better place for people to live in today and in the future by implementing socially significant projects in the field of healthcare, education, culture and urban planning. Free autism centers "Asyl Miras" have been opened and are functioning in 10 cities of Kazakhstan, for their development the Foundation has allocated 12 million US dollars. Over 8 years more than 11,000 children with ASD have been enrolled in autism centers, where they are helped to master skills for a full independent life. Since 2014 25 hospitals in remote regions have been equipped with vital medical equipment worth more than 2.3 million US dollars. In 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation handed over to the state two modern PCR laboratories and rapid tests for coronavirus at a total cost of 4.5 million US dollars. The Foundation helps victims of natural and man-made disasters: since 2018 more than 13,000 flood victims have received funds under the "Aid Card" project in the amount of about 1.3 million US dollars; 390 needy families in the cities of Kyzylorda, Arys, Myrzakent and Aral have received new housing for a total of about 9.5 million US dollars. In 2020, the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation completed the reconstruction of the Main Botanical Garden of Almaty, the budget of reconstruction was around 15 million US dollars. Two educational projects for schoolchildren were launched in 2021 – ‘Green School’ and ‘Jas Leader Academiiasy’, aiming at developing environmental friendliness and leadership skills among teenagers.
