3Com Corporation was a digital electronics manufacturer best known for its computer network products. The company was co-founded in 1979 by Robert Metcalfe, Howard Charney and others. Metcalfe explained the name 3Com was a contraction of "Computer Communication Compatibility", with its focus on Ethernet technology that he had co-invented, which enabled the networking of computers. 3Com provided network interface controller and switches, routers, wireless access points and controllers, IP voice systems, and intrusion prevention systems. The company was based in Santa Clara, California. From its 2007 acquisition of 100 percent ownership of H3C Technologies Co., Limited (H3C) — initially a joint venture with China-based Huawei Technologies— 3Com achieved a market presence in China, and a significant networking market share in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. 3Com products were sold under the brands 3Com, H3C, and TippingPoint. On April 12, 2010, Hewlett-Packard completed the acquisition of 3Com for $2.7 billion, and it no longer exists as a separate entity.

An idea that started in 1997 in Orange County, California and later incorporated under MULTACOM Corporation with corporate office in Canyon Country, California and Datacenters in Los Angeles, California by Sr. System Engineers and Sr. Network Engineers looking to provide the highest possible quality service with knowledgeable staff at most cost effective pricing possible. The lack of a good service provider with all the qualities that are now available through MULTACOM was the primary motivation behind the group. MULTACOM employs the highest quality equipment and is staffed by qualified personnel in their field. Every shift is headed by crew members that have extensive experience and certification or degrees in related field. Every member of MULTACOM technical team has degree(s) or is certified system/network engineer and/or possesses equivalent experience and undergoes extensive training. The primary Datacenters located in downtown Los Angeles, California allows for maximum scalability as this location allows us to connect easily to virtually any backbone provider and scale their internet connectivity to meet client’s needs. Additionally the Network is directly connected via diverse path Fiber Optic lines to many of the other carrier buildings in downtown which host their network equipment. MULTACOM also connects directly to other peering locations outside Los Angeles such as Linx in London. MULTACOM Data centers are examined annually to validate stringent compliance standards for Data center operation, security and availability including SOC reports which are available for review by potential and current clients. In addition to services provided at its own facilities MULTACOM also provides managed services to other providers, currently MULTACOM is under contract and provides network management for several small to mid-size service providers in the United States.

The majority of the people here at CDRlabs.com started as ops in #cdr on Efnet nearly 15 years ago. This was way before every kid on the block had a CD-RW. We maybe had at most 20 people in the channel at a time. About a year or two later the CD-R industry exploded. Dropping media and hardware prices and the ability to put 650mb or even 700mb onto a disk and take it with you became appealing to everyone. People kept asking if there was a really good website for optical storage related information. Unfortunately there was not at the time. A few "hardware review sites" would do a review from time to time, but the depth and consistency of the reviews turned out to be less than desirable. A plan was hatched to create a CDR Zone, a portal to the world of CD-R related reviews and topics. When having a portal was not good enough, the CDR Labs was spawned to give the world what it was lacking: useful, truthful information, quality reviews of hardware and software, and an eye to the CD-R Industry. Welcome to CDRLabs. In research, you are urged to be skeptical of information until you know the people behind the experiment and the methods used to bring results. We would not want you to think otherwise. Every review we do will have explicit details about what test systems we used, what methodology was used, and what benchmarking software was used. For example, we could tell you that a certain CD-R has buffer underrun problems, and therefore should be avoided. But what if we were burning at 8x off of a USB Zip Drive? Would that change your mind as to the quality of our testing, and our ability to give you a straight recommendation? Of course it would. When components are tested, you will know the machine driving that component down to the very last detail so you can judge our work. You will be able to make an educated decision. That is our mantra. Furthermore, what qualifies any of us to bring this to you? All of us work in the computer industry in some form. From designing supercomputers for Cray Inc. to being a systems administrator at a Big 10 college, our staff have a large knowledge base and a wide variety of experience. Our real jobs keep us in touch with technology, and that makes us able to offer insights that you would not be able to get elsewhere. Our goals: To bring a website dedicated to bringing truthful, informative reviews and news to optical storage enthusiasts. Too many other hardware review sites were doing what we considered to be poor benchmarking and reviewing of drives and others were just re-worded Press Releases. Other sites supposedly dedicated to optical storage were reporting rumors as truth and many were tied into piracy and other illegal activities. After CDRZone.com, we stood back and looked at the highlights and lowlights of the reviews we had done and ones we had read on other websites and created the CDRLabs&s; Tome of Benchmarking. We pledge that CDRLabs will give you the best of previews, reviews, and related Industry news.

DecentraX is building a blockchain &a; DEX based off of custom hardware technology. The DecentraX (DCX) blockchain is being built from the ground up by designing the proprietary hardware that runs the network around blockchain needs. To-date blockchains are built on top of existing hardware that was not necessarily designed to effectively operate for this industry. Minmaster Chips are designed from the ground up around processing hashing algorithms, to effectively allow for increased Transactions Per Second (TPS). The goal for the DCX team will be to meet and exceed 1,000,000 TPS on the DCX Network. The blockchain will grow out with each new project that is adopted into the DCX Network, starting with a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) that will aim to resolve ease-of-use and liquidity problems seen with the options currently available to the market. DCX will act as the gas of the exchange, as every swap that occurs will be paid for in DCX. The DecentraX team believes that DEX trading is the future and will free projects and investors from the chains seen with centralized exchanges.
