The University of California Transportation Center (UCTC) is a multi-campus organization headquartered on the UC Berkeley campus. It carries out basic and applied research in three related areas: environmental sustainability, economic competitiveness, and livability. Its research findings are disseminated in multiple ways, including journal publications, seminars, webinars, and conference proceedings as well as less technical forums aimed at reaching wider audiences. It also operates with an educational mission, supporting students through graduate research appointments, &l;a href="https://www.dissertationcorp.co.uk/"&g;dissertation help&l;/a&g; grants, curriculum development, new graduate course sponsorship, and an annual UCTC Student Conference. Under SAFETEA-LU, UCTC researchers have advanced knowledge and shaped practice in areas such as urban logistics, transportation and land-use modeling and integration, congestion pricing, eco-driving, clean-vehicle technologies, inter-vehicle communications, transit performance evaluations, lifecycle costing of transport infrastructure, transit-oriented development, environmental justice, parking policy, dynamic traffic operations, freight competition, and air quality impacts of transportation improvements. The center provides approximately $2 million per year for faculty research, dissertation awards, scholarships and fellowships. At Irvine, the center has supported nearly 100 faculty research and dissertation projects, and provided approximately $600,000 for undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships in transportation engineering and transportation economics. The University of California Transportation Center was established by congressional mandate in 1988.
