with 40% of the world&s;s 7,000 languages predicted to disappear over the next 80 years, we need to make it easier for people &a; communities to keep their languages, culture &a; heritage alive. at somos, our 4-week long teacher-led, conversation based courses are designed to: - help language teachers earn &a; live well (from $60/hour of live teaching) - provide access to affordable language education (from $2/session) - support language rights for all people. how it works - teachers lead weekly workshops to provide structure, set homework &a; support your learning. - practice needs partners! each week you&s;ll have at least 2 structured practice sessions in groups of 4 with other dedicated learners like you. - introduce yourself, ask questions &a; make friends in your cohort&s;s community chat group. - courses start from $25/student for at least 12 learning sessions giving you an affordable way to turbo charge your fluency! impact somos is a social enterprise building a global community of teachers, learners, activists &a; grassroots activists sharing, protecting &a; celebrating languages. we have a unique ownership model that allocates equity ownership for our team, teachers &a; grassroots community organisations. 1% of gross merchandising value that flows through somos goes to our impact fund which proudly supports: - refugees &a; migrants in diaspora - the protection &a; promotion of language rights - mental health &a; wellbeing - broader access to digital services for underrepresented cultures &a; groups whether you&s;re looking to teach or learn a language, we&s;d love to hear from you! please get in touch to find out more :)
