SFCODA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that aims to provide a hybrid organ with seven keyboards and over 800 stops. The organ will retain the familiar Wurlitzer sound using wind-blown pipes, and the pipes will be supplemented with digitally sampled organ and orchestral sounds. The corporation aim to fulfill its mission through community educational outreach: educates and promotes the art of theatre, classical, and symphonic organ music through public concerts, facility tours, demonstration presentations, recordings, recitals, and distribution of printed and electronic materials; music performance educational outreach: provides performance opportunities for world-renowned concert artists, local and touring musical groups, school and community performing groups, and organ-related organizations to utilize the instrument for performances, lectures, seminars, recitals, and conventions; and K-16 educational outreach: provides field trip opportunities for teachers and students of all ages to gain knowledge about as well as experience live performances of theatre, classical, and symphonic organ music, along with scholarship opportunities for students to receive lessons on the instrument.
