Founded in 2013 by husband and wife team, David &a; Ellen Caren, and with the help of an extensive team of engineers, app developers, acoustic experts, industry mentors and security advisors, have developed a personal safety wearable for runners, joggers, students, overseas travellers and revellers that emits a loud 120dB high-pitched audible alarm when activated, and pairs with smartphone devices over Bluetooth to send out alerts in the event of an emergency. At the heart of each run angel™ is a patent pending acoustic sound chamber and tuned electronic circuit design. From the early stages of development the company focus was on the audible capability of its wearable, after all, the greater the sound, the greater level of attention one could attract in an emergency situation. Once the targeted decibel threshold level had been achieved an additional layer of safety was introduced for users with the run angel™ iOS &a; Android companion app. The run angel™ app allows our users to set up a guardian network of family &a; friends who can be notified in an emergency by SMS and email upon activation of their run angel™.
