Land-vehicle (bicycles, motorcycles, cars) production is extremely risky. Producing a car requires an investment in the ballpark of $1 billion to cover costs associated with a design team, creating an assembly-line factory, the operational costs of the factory including material inputs and labour and advertising costs. Return on investment depends on level of sales in a very competitive market. Khitchdee is developing the industry&s;s first low risk land-vehicle production platform that reduces the required investment to the ballpark of $10 million. This platform will integrate the functions of design, manufacturing, sales and after-sales service into a single facility -- a unit-production-hub that is designed to produce a single land-vehicle unit. Production happens in 2 phases -- 1. A design phase that may take several months in which a new design is created, prototyped and tested and it&s;s construction process is designed. 2. A construction phase that targets a 3 day construction time in which a ready for construction design is optimally assembled. A single unit-production-hub can therefore produce roughly 100 units/year. Production can be scaled up by replicating unit-production-hub at the sales locations.
