Kaeme is a 501(c)(3) that partners with the Ghanaian Department of Social Welfare to help children living in orphanages in Ghana find permanent homes through reunification with family members, adoption or foster-care. To accomplish this, Kaeme volunteer teams work hand-in-hand with Ghanaian social workers to survey orphanages across Ghana as part of the government&s;s Care Reform Initiative. These visits capture essential information about each child&s;s history, health, and welfare. The Department of Social Welfare then uses this information collected to create a more permanent care plan for each child. Kaeme was founded in 2008 out of the non-profit incubator, Be a Good Doctor, by Michael McCullough, John Stevens, Marci Stevens, and Jennifer Miller.
