The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) is a global network of cities and regions with a think tank at its center that studies how intelligent communities use ICT to succeed in the broadband economy. It seeks to share the best practices of the world’s intelligent communities in adapting to the demands of the broadband economy, conducts research, creates conference content, offers educational and advisory services, establishes institutes, and presents annual awards. Using evidence-based research, the ICF offers guidance through reports, books, live and online educational programs, and conferences. Its programs aim to help communities adapt to the demands of the broadband economy and build sustainable economies. Its programs include Community Accelerator, Center of Excellence, and Annual Summit. The ICF Foundation is the nonprofit membership association of the Intelligent Community Forum. Its members are communities honored by the Forum’s international awards program for intelligent communities, which use information and communications technology to grow prosperous, inclusive, sustainable economies. Brain Gain, Seeking Our Destiny, Broadband Economies, Future Cities, and The Safe City are some of the books published by the ICF. It also publishes reports and white papers. Each year, the ICF presents an awards program for intelligent communities and the public-sector and private-sector partners who contribute to them. Its award programs include The Smart21, The Top7 Intelligent Communities, Intelligent Community Visionary of the Year, Intelligent Community of the Year , and Founders Award.
