Howtotalk is committed to inspire and support parents by helping them communicate more effectively with their child - to cultivate a healthy parent-child relationship. Our methodology is both practical and can be applied to almost any situation. Howtotalk is one of the first parenting and communciation apps that aims to spread a different way of talking with and listening to kids. It teaches parents to describe what you see, instead of being judgemental. Howtotalk operates within the Edtech and Edutainment market. We launched our app this past June in Dutch in the Netherlands for iOS, and it has since been downloaded 30K. In October we launched our Android version, and an English version for the US market around November. The app consists of a Duolingo-styled training where users can learn our method in bite-sized pieces, practical daily use cases that offer users concrete solutions to everyday parenting problems, and podcasts that offer in-depth explanations to popular themes, such as tantrums.
