American Institute of Homeopathy is the national medical association and membership is open to licensed physicians (medical, osteopathic, naturopathic, and veterinary), dentists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who have integrated homeopathic medicine into their practice, as well as pharmacologists and pharmacists. Their mission is to promote the science and art of homeopathic medicine, safeguard the interests of the homeopathic medical profession, improve the standards of homeopathic medical education, educate the medical and scientific communities about the scientific basis for homeopathic medicine, and increase public knowledge and acceptance of homeopathy as a medical specialty. The American Board of Homeotherapeutics, a legally separate entity, is the certifying board for medically-licensed homeopathic physicians.
