In 2014, Pietro Domenichini and Marco Giovati arrived from Italy to study the Brazilian market and assess the feasibility of marketing products to equip gyms for a sport that has been spreading around the world with a growth rate of 20% per year : the CrossFit. In 2015, after some trips to China with the scope of developing suppliers, GLADIUS started its activities focusing on the Ceará market. Made the first imports. The market proved to be promising, with rapid inventory turnover, adequate margins and undisputed product quality approval. Brazil was already emerging in 2017 as the second world market in the practice of this sport, according to official data from the global controller of the brand (CrossFit Inc/WOD News). In this scenario, GLADIUS started the expansion process, with PRESTIGE, in 2017, and, in 2018, with NADOR and SPAIOT, which support sales to the South and Southeast of the country. At the same time, it started an operation in Europe, the first step towards the internationalization of the brand. The focus is currently on gaining volume and representativeness in the domestic market, expanding the operation in Europe and starting operations in the US (the largest market for CrossFit).
