Fyous has developed a process called polymorphic moulding that, combined with mobile phone 3D scanning, will revolutionise custom-made footwear in healthcare. Polymorphic moulding is a mould that rapidly changes shape between forming parts allowing unique midsoles that fit perfectly to be made off the same mould. This gives the toolless geometrical freedoms of 3D printing without the long cycle time that inhibits printing being scaled.
