FMG has seen a rising demand for qualified medical gas piping and system installation in the region and decided to help. They created a medical gas training program for installers in collaboration with local plumbing and state regulatory bodies. Every six months, certified installers must produce documentation of brazing performance to keep their accreditation. Following the ASSE 6010 standard, students teach the NFPA 99 gas and vacuum systems code. They also train to learn about braze utilizing oxygen, acetylene torches with rosebud tips, and nitrogen to purge the system.
