Description
Eco Femme is a social enterprise with a global mission and reach, working in the area of menstrual hygiene management. It began in 2010 under the umbrella of Auroville Village Action Group (AVAG), an NGO working for grassroots community development in rural Tamil Nadu, South India. In addition to promoting eco-positive menstrual practices, their project supports education for girls and livelihood for women, with a particular focus on rural India where many women are marginalized and do not have access to education or products that enable them to manage their menstruation in a healthy and dignified way.
