ecentric was conceptualised to contribute to the environment and ecology. Clothing is an important part of our lives and the fashion industry adds a significant amount to the world’s carbon footprint. There are many natural fibres such as flax and jute which have found their way back into our wardrobes in different ways but there is a fibre that has been ‘forgotten’ – the HEMP FIBRE. Hemp is a wonder plant which is one of mother nature’s gift to the mankind. It is a truly multi-purpose miracle and is not limited to be used as a medicine/recreation drug. Industrial hemp is a sustainable alternative to many synthetic fibres with extensive potential to be used for textiles and home furnishing applications. Therefore at ecentric we conducted research and we believe it is an ideal solution that can redefine sustainable fashion in India and the world.
