Ebee smart technologies is a young and dynamic start-up. It was founded 2011 by three experts from the field of automotive electronics including todays CEO Dr. Henning Heppner and CTO Robert Weyrauch. Their vision is to supply cost-efficient and easily accessible charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the public space. They have developed a highly integrated charge spot which is small enough to be installed in existing city furniture like street lights. In urban areas where vehicles can&s;t be charged in a private garage over night, the public space needs charging infrastructure. With their system these charging stations can be installed in the public space without having a negative effect on the cityscape. Their compact and integrated ebee charge controllers, the heart of every ebee charge point, are smart city functional and prepared for future standards (e.g. ISO 15118). The controller is more than just EV-charging. It is also capable of smart-grid and smart-city functions and is available separately.
