Cuusoo was founded in 1997, since when Cuusoo - a Japanese word meaning “fantasy” or “imagination” - has been connecting consumers with creators and creators with manufacturers to bring new product ideas to life. Around 4,000 product ideas have been showcased, leading to over 100 successful product launches. Cuusoo has worked with brands such as Muji, Nissan, Daikin and Mitsubishi. From 2008 to 2014, Cuusoo and Lego operated the "Lego Cuusoo" crowdsourcing platform, which led to a number of successful product launches for Lego, such as Lego Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary set. Following agreement with Cuusoo, Lego now runs the site as Lego Ideas, at https://ideas.lego.com/ Lego_Ideas In August 2014, Cuusoo announced a strategic alliance with Eat Creative, a creative branding and communication agency based in Tokyo and Zürich, engaged with businesses across North America, Europe and Asia.
