Caviar Pirinea is the largest producer of sturgeon and large trout in Spain Caviar Pirinea SL is a company based in Barbastro (Huesca) created in 2013 whose founding partners have a long history in the breeding and marketing of trout and sturgeon, offering products of exceptional quality in the agri-food market. It has three fish farms located at the foot of the Pyrenees, in El Grado, Oliván and Yesa, where the fish are raised in ideal natural conditions, among which the perfect physical and chemical quality of the water coming from the melting of the mountains stands out. Caviar Pirinea remains faithful to its foundational values ​​and respect for the environment and that are summarized in the preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity to make the activity sustainable. Its good practices have led it, for example, to be the first company in the world to obtain the European certificate of organic aquaculture both in the fish farm and in the Yesa transformation plant. In its facilities, built in the 20th century, they preserve the aroma of history, linked to the main technological advances in the sector and are adapted to environmental requirements, with absolute control in all production cycles and processes. Our team, brave and competent, has employees with experience in the trout farming sector for more than 50 years and more than 20 in the case of sturgeon. They are joined by a group of young people who ensure that fish farms remain at the forefront of production systems in global aquaculture.
