bbi is an early stage fund created to help talented entrepreneurs bridge the funding gap between angels and a Series A. Our primary focus is Iowa-based technology start-ups, but we will invest nationally and across any vertical when we believe in the team and the opportunity. Beyond an infusion of seed capital, bbi pairs your talent and ideas with our entrepreneurial experience, operating knowledge, broad network of relationships, access to additional capital and expertise in marketing, product and software development. We seek to back entrepreneurs with passion, talent, and creativity who are focused on creating highly scalable businesses and no-brainer value propositions for their customers. Our typical investment is $50,000 to $150,000, but more important is the opportunity for us to provide value beyond just capital. We prefer to be your first non-friend/family professional equity investor, and we will evaluate opportunities that are pre-revenue and even pre-product. We are also willing to consider investments alongside other professional investors if the fit of complementary skills and goals is correct.
