Beta Capital was founded in September 24, 2003 by a group of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts for innovation with the goal of financing innovative start-ups. The company is a specialist venture capital firm investing in new technology-based projects at their early stages (seed capital and start-ups). We work in close cooperation with several Portuguese entities belonging to the Scientific and Technological National System (which includes Universities and R&a;D Centres) in order to foster scientific innovation. Typically we provide hands-on support to our portfolio companies by building relationships with entrepreneurs based on mutual respect and contributing with our experience to achieve success.
