ASBA was founde din 1927 in the Paris area by musician and brilliant inventor Alfred Boudard. ASBA ist he acronym of « Alfred et Simone Boudard Accessoires ». Drums and percussions will be manufactured after WWII, in 1947. The company is the first to offer a metal drum set, the «nesting kit» the cymbal boom stand, the Caroline bass drum pedal. ASBA can befound everywhere in the world and is exported in 25 countries. Daniel Humair, the Abbey Road Studios (The Beatles), Christian Garros, StatusQuo, Elvin Jones, Martin Circus, Magma, Tom Jones, Claude François, Mitch Mitchell, le batteur de Jimmy Hendrix... Despite all its achievements, the manufacture closes down in 1983 for a lack of profitability compared to the competition who is producing in ASIA. But for its early fans, the heart of ASBA never stopped beating. Passionnate about drums and about the brand ASBA since his childhood, Guillaume Pornet decides to revive this iconic brand in 2016 with the friendly help of Daniel Humair and Marc Périn (Descendant of the Boudard family and former Managing Director of La Baguetterie Paris). His goal: to bring French excellence accross the world with high quality, innovative musical instruments that are manufactured in France and stick to the historical values of the brand. ASBA is officially back on stage during the BagShow2017, the biggest show dedicated to drums and percussions. The response of the crowd was phenomenal. A year later, ASBA presents at the very same show its2 new hommage series, Révélation et Rive Gauche, that are manufactured according to the specifications of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s.
